Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silicone rubber sponge composition which has a high rolling workability, moldability and expandability and has a high vulcanizing adhesion property with a silicone-modified EPDM.
SOLUTION: The composition contains (A) 100 pts.wt. polyorganosiloxane of the formula: RaSiO(4-a)/2 (wherein R is a substituted or unsubstituted monovalent hydrocarbon group; and a is a number within the range of from 1.98 to 2.02) with an average degree of polymerization from 3,000 to 20,000, (B) from 20 to 100 pts.wt. silica filler in the form of a fine powder, (C) from 1 to 20 pts.wt. cerium hydroxide, (D) from 10 to 50 pts.wt. triiron tetraoxide (Fe3O4) powder, (E) from 5 to 45 pts.wt. lamellar clay mineral powder having an average primary particle size of 20 μm or smaller, (F) from 1 to 3,000 ppm platinum or platinum compound against component (A) as a platinum atom, (G) a required amount of a hardener and (H) a required amount of a foaming agent.
