Title:
SILVER HALIDE BLACK-AND-WHITE PHOTOSENSITIVE MATERIAL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6352130
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide superior sharpness, graininess and sensitivity to blue light by specifying the aspect ratio of silver halide particles and the amount of coated silver in each of inner and outer silver halide emulsion layers and by regulating the amount of the coated silver in the inner layer to 10W150% of the amount of the coated silver in the outer layer.

CONSTITUTION: A protective surface layer contg. ≤about 2g/m2 gelatin, an outer silver halide emulsion layer contg. flat silver halide particles having 5W10 aspect ratio and an inner silver halide emulsion layer contg. silver halide particles having <5 aspect ratio are formed. The outer layer contains ≤about 6g/m2 coated silver and the inner layer contains about 4g/m2 coated silver. When the amount of the coated silver in the inner layer is regulated to 10W150wt% of the amount of the coated silver in the outer layer, superior sharpness, graininess and increased sensitivity to blue light are provided.
