To enhance a sensitivity to graininess ratio as compared with conventional products and to sharpen a spectral sensitivity distribution and to render deterioration of the same color sensitivity in a photosensitive emulsion layer sensitized with a sensitizing dye less than that in a photosensitive emulsion layer located farther from a support.
This color photographic material has each of blue-, green-, and red-sensitive emulsion layer units on the support and the sum of the number of the green-sensitive emulsion layers forming their unit and the red-sensitive emulsion layers forming their unit is ≥3, and at least one photosensitive emulsion layer selected from a group comprising the green-sensitive emulsion layers except the one being the nearest to the support and the red-sensitive emulsion layers except the one being the nearest to the support contain flat silver halide grains having an aspect ratio of ≥5 and occupying ≥50% of the projection areas and these flat grains had been spectrally sensitized with at least one kind of trimethine cyanine dye and at least one kind of monomethine cyanine dye before chemical sensitization.
