Abstract:

To provide a silver halide color photographic sensitive material and an image forming method by which a large quantity of prints can be formed in a short time and high quality print with little unevenness in print and few defects is possible.

The silver halide color photographic sensitive material for scanning exposure is subjected to scanning exposure at a vertical scanning conveyance speed of ≥90 mm/s and a raster interval of ≤500 μs, and color development is started within 12 s after the scanning exposure to form an image. The silver halide color photographic sensitive material contains on a reflective support a silver halide emulsion having a silver chloride content of ≥90 mol% and a silver bromide content of 0.1-4 mol%, wherein a silver bromide-containing phase is formed in layers, or a silver halide emulsion having a silver chloride content of ≥90 mol% and a silver iodide content of 0.02-1 mol%, wherein a silver iodide-containing phase is formed in layers. The image forming method is also provided.
