PURPOSE: To enable rapid processing and to improve the processing stability by specifying the average particle size of silver halide in the blue-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer, the silver bromide content in silver halide in the blue-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer, that in silver halide in the green- sensitive silver halide emulsion layer and the total amount of silver in the silver halide emulsion layers except the red-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer and by incorporating a specified yellow of magenta coupler into the silver halide emulsion layers.

CONSTITUTION: Blue-, green- and red-sensitive silver halide emulsion layers are formed on a support to obtain a silver halide color photographic sensitive material. The average particle size of silver halide in the blue-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer is ≤0.8 μm, the silver bromide content in silver halide in the blue-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer is 50W75 mol%, that in silver halide in the green-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer is 20W75 mol% and the total amount of silver in the silver halide emulsion layers except the red- sensitive silver halide emulsion layer is ≤0.55g/m2. The silver halide emulsion layers contain at least one kind of yellow coupler represented by formula I or at least one kind of magenta coupler represented by formula I'.
