PURPOSE: To improve the graininess and the development processing stability of the titled material by incoporating prescribed amounts of a color coupler and a specified compd. in at least one of photosensitive layer.
CONSTITUTION: The titled material provides with a blue, a green and a red photosensitive layers on a substrate body, and at least one layer of said photosensitive layers contains 0.5W3.0mol.% color coupler per 1mol. of silver halide, and contains a compd. (DSR compd.) which can scavenge an oxidant by reacting with said oxidant of a developing agent or the compd. capable of releasing the precursor of said compd. Silver iodobromide is preferably used in the silver halide emulsion. The DSR compd. is shown by the formula Coup-SC wherein Coup is a coupler residual group capable of releasing SC of reacting with the color developing agent, SC is the scavenger of the oxidant of the color developing agent capable of scavenging by effecting the oxidation-reduction reaction or the couling reaction of the oxidant of the color developing agent after releasing from the Coup.
