Title:
SILVER HALIDE EMULSION AND PHOTOGRAPHIC SENSITIVE MATERIAL USING THE SAME
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3390951
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a silver halide emulsion good in anisotropic growth tendency and very low in growth speed in the thickness direction and superior in each of grain monodispersibility, sensitivity, graininess, and spectral sensitization characteristics and to provide a photographic sensitive material using this emulsion.
CONSTITUTION: The silver halide emulsion comprising at least a dispersion medium and the silver halide grains contains flat silver halide grains occupying ≥30% of the projection areas of the total silver halide grains and having principal crystal faces of {100} and an aspect ratio (diameter/thickness) of ≥1.5, and a Cl content of ≥20%, and the silver halide grains are grown by adding fine silver halide grains containing ≥90% extinguishable fine grains, and ≥50 number % of the total added grains have 70-100 volume 96 of the maximum fine grains extinguishable by growth of the grains, when counting the added grains in the order of the extents of the grain volumes.
