PURPOSE: To lessen the absorption of the titled material at a long wavelength region, and to obtain the good color reproducibility of said material by incorporating a specified yellow dye image forming coupler in the combination with a specified compd. in at least one layer of silver halide emulsion layers.

CONSTITUTION: At least one layer of the silver halide emulsion layers contains at least one kind of the yellow dye image forming coupler shown by formula I in the combination with at least one kind of the compd. selected from the compds. shown by formulas II and III. In formula I, R1 is a substd. or an unsubstd. alkyl group, etc., R2 is a substd. or an unsubstd. aryl group, X is hydrogen atom or a group capable of releasing by allowing to react with the oxidant of a color developing main agent. In formulas II and III, R1 and R4 are each alkyl or a heterocyclic ring group, etc., R2, R3, R6 and R7 are each alkylene or alkenylene group, etc., R5 and R8 are each acyl or phosphonyl group, (n) is an integer of 1W20. Thus, the absorption of the titled material at the long wavelength region is lessened, and the good color reproducibility of the titled material is obtd.
