Abstract:

To provide a silver halide photographic sensitive material which ensures a small variation in photographic properties even at a high temperature and a high humidity, causes no hindrance to development and is excellent in storage stability.

The silver halide photographic sensitive material contains at least one compound of formula (1) (where X1 and X2 are each hydroxy, an alkoxy, mercapto, alkylthio, amino, acylamino, sulfonamido, oxycarbonylamino, ureido or a group capable of giving hydroxy or mercapto when hydrolyzed, X1 and X2 each may have a substituent; P and Q are each an alkyl, aryl, amino or alkoxy, P and Q each may have a substituent and may bond to each other to form a cyclic structure; and Y is O, S or =N-RN (where RN is H, an alkyl, aryl or a heterocyclic group) but the compound of the formula (1) has one or more groups attracted to silver halide in one molecule).
