Abstract:

To provide a silver halide photographic sensitive material with which digital information is recorded at high resolution with almost no deterioration, and which has little variation of the performance caused by the difference of the prescription in a development treatment, and is excellent in long-term storage, and to provide a method for forming an image using the same.

The silver halide photographic sensitive material has at least one silver halide photosensitive layer on a support. The average sphere-equivalent diameter of silver halide of at least one layer of silver halide photosensitive layers is ≤0.20 μm, the aspect ratio is ≤2.0, and the swelling rate is ≤200%.
