Abstract:

To obtain a silver halide photographic sensitive material capable of coloring a specified hydrophilic colloidal layer of the photographic sensitive material and rapidly decoloring it in the cource of development processing by incorporating a molecularly dispersed specified compound.

The photographic sensitive material contains the molecularly dispersed compound represented by the formula in which each of L1-L3 is an optionally substituted methine group; R1 is H atom or a substituent including a substituted atom; R2 is a substituent including a substituted atom; (m) is 1, 2, 3, or 4; R3 is H atom or a -CHR3' group; R3' is H atom or a subtituent including a substituted atom; X is an electron withdrawing group having a Hammett's substituent constant σm of 0.3-1.5; R4 is a -COOR10, -COR11, -CONR11 R12, or -CN group; R5 is H atom or an alkyl or aryl or heterocyclic group; R10 is an alkyl or aryl group; each of R11 and R12 is H atom or an alkyl or aryl group; and (n) is 1 or 2.
