PURPOSE: To obtain a silver halide photographic sensitive material enhanced in lightfastness of a formed dye image without bringing about not only unfavorable effect on the image and but also yellow stains by incorporating at least one of specified metal complex salts in said photosensitive material.
CONSTITUTION: The silver halide photographic sensitive material contains in at least one of its protective layer, its silver halide emulsion layers, its interlayer, its filter layer, under coating layer, its antihalation layer, and its auxiliary layers, preferably, in one of the silver halide emulsion layer, especially, the one containing one of the metal complex salts represented by formulae [I] and [II] in an amount of 0.1W4mol, preferably, 0.5W3mol to 1mol of the magenta coupler in the case of adding it to the layer containing the magenta coupler.
