Abstract:

To provide a silver salt photothermographic dry imaging material, even when being quickly heat-developed by a compact laser imager, having excellent raw preservability, an excellent silver color tone, low fogging, high maximum density and excellent image preservability under photoirradiation, and to provide an image forming method.

The silver salt photothermographic dry imaging material contains a photosensitive layer comprising an organic silver salt, silver halide particles, a binder and a reducing agent on the same face side of a support. As the reducing agent, a specified bisphenol compound is used. Also, at least one layer of constituting layers including the photosensitive layer provided on the same face side of the support comprises a compound which develops a color upon heat development to form a dye image.
