Title:
SILVER-TONE CLEAR-COATED STAINLESS STEEL SHEET AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2006103269
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To obtain a clear-coated stainless steel sheet which improves harmony with a peripheral member and exhibits a silver-tone surface excellent in aesthetic characteristic and further is superior in processability and secondary adhesion.

The stainless steel sheet with random polishing meshes or hairline polishing meshes wherein an oxide layer in which Si is concentrated into ≥50 atomic% is used as a substrate, and a clear undercoat formed by mixing into 100 parts by mass of polyester resin, 5-50 parts by mass of bisphenol type epoxy-resin is formed on the surfaces of the substrate. The stainless steel sheet, after being provided with random polishing meshes or hairline polishing meshes, is annealed (by bright annealing) at 800°C or higher in a reducing atmosphere that the concentration of hydrogen is ≥75 vol.%, and the dew point is ≤-40°C. Next, a coating formed by mixing into 100 parts by mass of polyester resin, 5-50 parts by mass of bisphenol type epoxy-resin is applied and baked to form the clear undercoat with the film thickness of 2 to 20 μm.
