Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject silylated material, capable of being produced without generating a harmful byproduct, excellent in preservation stability, and hardly providing bad effect such as the defect of water resistance and the decrease of electric characteristics by using a hydrosilane having an alkoxy group as a sililating agent.
SOLUTION: The objective silylated material is obtained by sililating (A) a compound having an active hydrogen, preferably a high molecular compound such as a polyester resin, a polyurethane resin, an acryl resin and a polyether resin with (B) a sililating agent comprising a compound having Si-H group and at least one alkoxy group in a molecule of formula I {R1 to R3 are each formula II [R4 to R6 are each a nonpolar organic group; (n) is 0-5]; with the proviso that at least one alkoxy group is included in the molecule}, (e.g. methyldimethoxysilane) in the presence of (C) a reaction catalyst (e.g. chloroplatinic acid) at 10-100°C for 0.5-96 hr by a dehydrogenation reaction.
