PURPOSE: To provide an information in a form capable of evaluating the value for a requesting person by using the degree of the similarity of an attribute value and the synonym calculated in a synonym comparison means and quantitatively expressing the degree of the similarity of requested information and retrieved information.
CONSTITUTION: The attribute of retrieval conditions, the attribute value, the synonym and the degree of the similarity are held in a retrieval condition holding part 1. The synonym of the attribute value is retrieved by a synonym retrieval means 3 and the degree of the similarity of the attribute value and the synonym is calculated by the synonym comparison means 6. An information retrieval means 5 retrieves data by using the attribute, the attribute value and the synonym and a retrieval management part 4 holds the data retrieved in the information retrieval means 5 in a retrieved information holding part 7 along with the degree of the similarity calculated in the synonym comparison means 6.
