To obtain a polymer-cement compsn. capable of rapid preparation at an application site, ensuring no mistake in preparation and not varying the setting time of cement milk even after preservation over a long period of time by mixing a compsn. consisting of cement, fine powder of limestone, silica sand, a re-emulsible powdery resin, a smectite type clay mineral and a powdery additive with a specified amt. of diethylene glycol.
This polymer-cement compsn. consists of 0.05-0.5 pt.wt. diethylene glycol, 100 pts. wt. cement, 5-100 pts.wt. fine powder of limestone having 1,000-6,000 cm2/g Blaine value, 6-300 pts.wt. relatively fine silica sand such as silica sand No.7, 2-46 pts.wt. re-emulsible powdery resin such as ethylene-vinyl acetate resin, carboxylic acid modified vinyl acetate resin or 'VEOVA(R)' modified vinyl acetate resin, 0.5-20 ts.wt. smectite type clay mineral or 0.5-45 pts.wt. silica fume and a powdery additive consistingof 0.1-10 pts.wt. water-reducing agent, 0.01-2 pts.wt. defoaming agent and 0.01-3.0 pts.wt. thickener.
