To provide a drawing method of a survey result when an engineer performs a field work in the field.
In a longitudinal/cross-sectional survey, description on a level book (field notebook) is performed. As a desk work, map drawing is started. In order to acquire a drawing from the field notebook of the field work, first of all, a ground height of a reference point is to be known. The spot is required for starting survey, and when seeing-through by a level in the first place, the spot is used for erecting a staff (box scale) thereon and reading a gage rod on the staff for a start. This operation is called as backsight (BS), and an instrument height is calculated at that time. When the instrument height is known, it is illustrated and decided on a longitudinal section view or on a cross-sectional view as one height standard, and then a figure of foresight of the survey result is read from the field notebook based on the reference line, and downward plotting is performed by a scale from the reference line, to thereby determine the ground height of the spot. A longitudinal/cross-sectional view can be acquired by connecting each point on the determined spot.
