To generate electrical power by rotating stick rotors having the overlapping areas through the movement of the center area thereof.
A power generating apparatus is composed of a rotating mechanism, a transmission mechanism for transmitting a rotating power of this rotating mechanism to a power generator and a storage battery for storing the electrical power generated by the power generator. The rotating mechanism is composed of stick rotors 11 to 13 inserted to slide diagonally in the axial direction of the rotating shaft supported rotatably and electromagnetic coils having the front end surfaces near the rotating shaft and operating with a current from the storage battery. The front end surfaces of the stick rotors 11 to 13 are provided with the overlapping areas 18 formed of a ferromagnetic material. The overlapping areas 18 are sequentially raised and the stick rotors 11 to 13 are pushed upward simultaneously by energizing the electromagnetic coils one by one with the predetermined sequence to move upward the gravity points of the stick rotors 11 to 13 to rotate the rotating shaft.
