Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simplified retention measuring device (medical bench type load meter) in order to measure the retention of a retainer of a partial denture.SOLUTION: A side without a chip of a distal end of orthodontic band removing equipment 1 (load point) 2 is machined. After performing coating, two strain gauges 3 are affixed and are covered by silicon rubber, and a cable 5 of diameter 1.8 is fixed in welding from a gauge terminal to a grip part. The output sensitivity is assumed about 2000 μg/1 kgf. A switch 6 of a measuring instrument body is turned on, and physical quantity detected by voltage is measured by using a strain gauge-type transform unit 7. The tip with a flat chip is perpendicularly brought into abutment with an anchor tooth occlusal surface, and the load point is brought into abutment with a maintenance arm to open a handle part, and thereby a numerical value of the retention is displayed in a monitor display 8, and a system digitizes the retention of the retainer of a partial denture mounted in a tooth.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
