To provide a simulation method for providing a conveyance system in which cycle time when carrying is reduced.
Disclosed is a method for simulating the installing positions and conveyance lines of a conveyance system conveying a workpiece between adjoining press machines. The method comprises: a first stage where the shape models of the press machines and the conveyance system are formed; a second stage where a plurality of operational patterns of shape models where the installing positions of the conveyance system to the press machines are different respectively, and further, the conveyance of the workpiece is performed in accordance with the same first conveyance line are formed, and operational simulation is performed on the basis of the operational patterns so as to select the optimum installing position at which the workpiece can be more swiftly conveyed; and a third stage where the conveyance system is fixedly arranged at the optimum installing position, and a plurality of operational patterns of performing the conveyance of the workpiece in accordance with a plurality of second conveyance lines different from the first conveyance line are formed, and operational simulation is performed on the basis of the operational patterns so as to select the optimum conveyance line at which the workpiece can be most swiftly conveyed.
