PURPOSE: To simulate the saturation characteristic of a generator in corresponding to an actual generator by calculating a gap flux characteristic from the current component which affects the flux characteristic, saturation factor of gap fluxes, and generator constant.
CONSTITUTION: The current component which affects the gap flux characteristic of a generator MU is calculated from the stator current and rotor current of the generator MU. The above-mentioned gap flux characteristic is calculated by using the current component, a saturation factor, and generator constant and a gap flux having a saturation characteristic is calculated from a given field current If. When the output voltage Et which is an induced electromotive force is found from the gap flux, the characteristic at which the increase of the output voltage Et is saturated against the increase of the field current If can be simulated.
