To provide a simulator being capable of decreasing the power consumption of the whole overhead wiring traffic system than a conventional one even when a reference voltage transmitted from a substation is lowered and simulating the reference voltage transmitted from the substation of an overhead wiring traffic system when the input voltage of onboard electrical equipment can be made lower than a desired value and an overhead wiring section rate.
The maximum overhead wiring voltage of a vehicle traveling in an overhead wiring section is computed according to the overhead wiring section rate and the reference voltage transmitted from the substation, and the power consumption of the system corresponding to the overhead wiring section rate and the transmitted reference voltage is computed. The overhead wiring section rate and the reference voltage transmitted from the substation when the power consumption of the system is made smaller than that in the case of a predetermined specified overhead wiring section rate while the computed maximum overhead wiring voltage is made lower than a preset allowable voltage is output.
