Abstract:
PURPOSE:To allow easy designing and the use of amplifier circuits of a low cost by connecting the amplifier circuits amplifying high-frequency signals to the front stage of combiners. CONSTITUTION:This device has the combiners which mix plural pieces of the signals of different frequencies, an optical modulator which divides the beams entering at the intensity corresponding to the amplitudes of the signals outputted from the combiners and in the directions corresponding to the frequencies and emits the divided beams, and the amplifier circuits 72AB to 72GH. The amplifier circuits 72AB to 72GH are connected to the front stage of the combiners 68AB to 68GH and amplify the signals of the different frequencies. The number of the high-frequency signals to be amplified at one time in the amplifier circuits 72AB to 72GH is decreased as compared with the case of the amplification after mixing of all the high-frequency signals if the amplifier circuits 72AB to 72GH are connected to the front stage of the combiners 68AB to 68GH. The use of the amplifier circuits of the low cost which can be easily designed and is a low cost in order to prevent the influence of the tertiary distortion intermodulation product is possible in this way.
