Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and surely separate a single core and remove the covering tape layer at an arbitrary point of a taped multicore fiber.
SOLUTION: This taped single core separation tool for multicore fiber 6 which separates taped a multicore fiber 1 to a single core, and removes a covering tape layer left around the fiber core after separation, is provided with a single core separator 21 which comprises an upper blade 11 and a lower blade 12 to hold the multicore tape fiber 1 in the vertical direction, and in which a projecting bar part 18 and a notched groove part 19 are alternately fitted in the vertical direction to the upper blade 11 and the lower blade 12 so as to separate a fiber core, and a cover layer remover 25 which curves and holds the multicore tape fiber 1 separated by the single core separator 21, and removes a covering tape layer 5 by allowing the taped fiber to slide in the width direction of the taped fiber.
