Abstract:
To provided a single cylinder type high pressure pump which has a longer life, is simply formed, and can manufactured at low cost.
A pump element stored inside a pump housing 1 is provided with a pump plunger 5, the pump plunger 5 is stored inside a pump cylinder 4 in a reciprocating against a preload force of a compression spring 7, and the pump plunger 5 is driven by a cam 8 in order to compressively supply an inside of a rail with fuel to which load by high pressure is applied. An assembling opening 3 for storing the pump element is provided to the pump housing 1 at a side opposite to the cam driving device 8.
