Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a single head piston-type compressor capable of improving durability of a lip seal and a swash plate, and low in cost.
SOLUTION: A suction port 35 of a rear housing 13 is communicated with a crank chamber 25 by a first suction passage 47, and the crank chamber 25 is communicated with a suction chamber 38 through a second suction passage 51. A discharging chamber 40 and the crank chamber 25 are communicated with each other by a pressure supplying passage 61, and an electromagnatic switch valve 64 is arranged in the passage 61. When the electromagnetic switch valve 64 is released, high-pressure refrigerant gas is supplied from the discharging chamber 40 to the crank chamber 25 through the passage 61, the tilt angle of the swash plate 30 is decreased, a spool 44 is switched into the position in which the first suction passage 47 is to be closed, and a compressor is operated with the minimum capacity. In this compressor, since sucked refrigerant gas is guided into the crank chamber 25, the swash plate 30 can be made of aluminum, and durability of a lip seal 19 is improved.
