This single lever faucet 10 comprises a rotating click mechanism functioning during the rotation of the lever handle having a rotating click member 20 rotated together with a lever guide 15 and movable only in the direction normal to the rotating path of the lever guide; a rotating guide surface 18e formed on the rotating click member 20 along the rotating path; a plate spring 19 disposed on the lever guide 15 for pressing the rotating click member 20 against the rotating guide surface 18g; and a plurality of recessed parts 18a, 18b, 18c, 18d, 18e with circumferentially different lengths formed in the rotating guide surface 18g for so fitting the rotating click member 20 as to be engaged therewith and disengaged therefrom.
