Abstract:

PURPOSE: To enhance the gripping force of an anchor, by making the rear end of a fluke extend rearward from a shank body and by integrally incorporating stabilizers with the rear end of the fluke.

CONSTITUTION: Stabilizers 3, 3' are integrally incorporated to the rear end of a fluke 2, extending over both sides of a shaft 1 and projecting laterally of both sides of the rear end of the fluke 2 which extends rearward from the shank 1. With this arrangement, a single pawl anchor A may be easily arranged under water in a normal attitude, and the direction of wedging of the front end of the fluke 2 into sludge and the inclination thereof may be always made normal due to the provision of the stabilizers, thereby the performance of the anchor is enhanced.
