Abstract:
PURPOSE:To enable a ship to be moored to a mooring buoy without allowing the ship to come into contact with the buoy by securing two hawsers from a mooring member projected ahead from the bow of the ship to the mooring buoy engaged on the sea. CONSTITUTION:A mooring buoy 1 is secured to the ground through an anchor 3 and an anchor chain 2. A mooring member 8 fixedly mounted to the bow deck of a ship B to be moored at one end of the member 8 is nearly horizontally projected ahead from the bow. The other end of the mooring member 8 is connected with a mooring buoy 1 through two hawsers 4 and 10 secured to the buoy 1 at two diametrically opposing positions thereon. The contact between the ship B and the buoy 1 is prevented by the tension of the hawser 4 or 10 when the ship B goes away from or approaches the mooring buoy, respectively. Thus, a sufficient mooring force can be secured by a simple construction.
