Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a single screw compressor capable of suppressing the deterioration of efficiency due to excessive sealing while securing sufficient sealability between a casing and the opposite face of a screw rotor to the casing.SOLUTION: The single screw compressor includes a screw rotor 30, and the casing. The screw rotor has a plurality of spiral grooves 31 to form a compression chamber. A cylinder part of the casing stores the screw rotor inside. On/in an outer face 32 between the two adjacent spiral grooves of the screw rotor, opposed to the inner peripheral face of the cylinder part, sealing surfaces 33a, 34a and non-sealing recessed portions 33b, 34b are formed. The sealing surfaces seal the flow of refrigerant between the cylinder part of the casing and itself. The non-sealing recessed portions 33b, 34b are each located between the sealing surfaces 33a, 34a not to contribute to sealing the flow of the refrigerant.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
