PURPOSE: To prevent the blocking phenomenon during the transport of a granular body and realize the smooth transport by forming an opened port on the inlet side of an end stud to an elongated circular form or a similar form, forming the opened port on an outlet side to a circular form, and connecting the inside surface of a passage connecting therebetween with a smooth surface.
CONSTITUTION: The granular body in a pump is discharged from the discharge port 5 of a pump body by a rotor 4 which revolves in a casing 3, and flows toward a passage 12 from the inlet 17 of an end stud 10. Each shape of the discharge port 5 and the inlet 17 is elliptical. Further, the shape of an outlet 19 on the downstream side of the passage 12 is formed into a circular form, and the inner surface of the passage 12 connecting the inlet 17 and outlet 19 is constituted of a smooth surface, and the sharp variation of the sectional area is suppressed in all the passages ranging from the discharge port 5 of the pump body to the outlet 19 of the end stud, and the variation is exceedingly gentle. Accordingly, the generation of closure phenomenon is eliminated, and the smooth pass of the granular body is achieved.
