To provide a sintered aluminum plate manufacturing method using aluminum cans being industrial wastes for manufacturing a sintered aluminum plate consisting of only aluminum by effectively recycling aluminum cans being the industrial wastes, and to provide a sintered aluminum plate.
Aluminum cans being the industrial wastes are crushed into small pieces 1, the periphery of the small pieces 1 is entangled with fibrous aluminum 2, and the small pieces 1 entangled with the fibrous aluminum 2 are sintered at a temperature in the vicinity of the melting point of aluminum to be formed into a flat plate 3. A sintered aluminum plate is formed by immersing the flat plate 3 into potassium permanganate solution and forming a chemical-conversion film. The sintered aluminum plate is strong, and the chemical-converted film formed on the surface thereof is further changed into aluminum oxides at a temperature of ≤ 550°C, and the refractory temperature reaches 1,800°C. The sintered aluminum plate can be used for various kinds of applications such as refractory coating materials steel frames for building requiring the fire resistance for at least two hours at a temperature of 900°C.
