Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve the self-lubricity and wear resistance by adding specified amounts of C, Cu, Ni, Mo, Cr, S and P to Fe, forming a structure contg. metallic carbides and sulfides dispersed uniformly in the martensite-base matrix, and providing a specified vol% of pores contg. oil.

CONSTITUTION: The composition of a sintered Fe alloy for the vane members of a compressor is composed of, by weight, 0.4W2% C, 0.5W10% Cu, 0.5W20% Ni, 0.1W5% Mo, 0.5W10% Cr, 0.1W2% S, 0.05W2% P and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities. A structure contg. metallic carbides and sulfides dispersed uniformly in the martensite-base matrix is formed, and 5W30vol% pores contg. oil are provided.
