Title:
SINTERED IRON ALLOY FOR SLIDING MATERIAL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5827961
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a sintered Fe alloy for a sliding material producing no creak during sliding and having superior scuffing resistance by blending graphite, molybdenum disulfide and alloy steel having a specified composition in a specified ratio.

CONSTITUTION: A uniform mixture consisting of, by weight, 0.2W0.8% graphite, 0.5W6% molybdenum disulfide and the balance alloy steel composed of, by weight, 0.4W1% Mn, 0.8W1.25% Cr, 0.15W0.35% Mo and the balance Fe is compacted, sintered at about 1,100W1,200°C in a nonoxidizing protective atmosphere, and allowed to cool to ordinary temp. in the same protective atmosphere. Thus, a sintered Fe alloy having a metallic structure contg. sorbite-like pearlite phase and sulfide phase dispersed uniformly in the alloy matrix is obtd.
