Title:
SINTERING ALLOY MATERIAL FOR INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE VALVE SEAT AND ITS PREPARATION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5532903
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain this sintering alloy material for a valve seat that has wear proof to repeated hot blow under a non-lubricating condition, is excellent in machinability and is mainly suitable for the suction side, in an internal combustion engine that uses LPG and lead-free gasoline as fuel. CONSTITUTION:A proper quantity of a lubricant is added to the compounding powder of 0.7-2.0% graphite and alloy powder consisting of 0.6-1.5% Ni, 0.3- 0.8% Mo, 2.0-4.0% Cu, 0.05-1.0% S and substantial Fe in the remainder and mixing molded. The moldings are heating sintered at 1100-1160 deg.C, the sintered body is soaked in the melted liquid of an organic compound or an organic compound filler with the 120-250 deg.C melting point, and said filler is filled into the holes of the sintered body to seal the holes, thus manufacturing this sintering alloy material for an internal combustion engine valve seat. Consequently, machinability is improved as compared to conventional devices, and products with excellent wear proof and strength can be obtained.
