Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely discharge drain while suppressing the lift of a suction hole member under high-speed operation conditions when drain is discharged by using a siphon pipe in a drying cylinder for a sizing machine to be heated by introducing steam.
SOLUTION: A suction hole member 21 is constituted of a triangular prism shape so that the suction hole member 21 can be extended in a flow zone of drain at least in cylinder 1 and one side of the triangular prism is orientated to the inner peripheral face of the cylinder 1 and the other two sides are opposed to a drain flow. Upward force is applied to the one side of the suction hole member 21 orientated to the inner peripheral face of the cylinder 1 and downward force is applied to the other two sides by the flow of drain followed by one revolution of the cylinder 1. The lift of the suction hole member 21 is controlled by making the downward force stronger than the upward force.
