Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combustion chamber in which combustion of a mixture gas portion facing an exhaust valve is not only hard to generate knocking but also enables the amount of exhaust gas to be increased.SOLUTION: Most of an inverted first triangle 8 with one top point connecting centers of first bottom surfaces of three exhaust valves facing downward is positioned inside a normal second triangle 7 connecting centers of second bottom surfaces of three intake valves. The second triangle 7 is larger than the first triangle 8. The three exhaust valves are positioned among three squish area spaces 6 and an ignition plug 4. A valve opening period of a first intake valve 12 and a valve opening period of a first exhaust valve 9 overlap each other while holding the time of each of exhaust top dead centers. Increasing in temperature of the mixture gas portion moved to the squish area space is restricted under influence of temperature drop due to a low amount of descending of a piston during combustion stroke and thereby anti-knocking performance is improved.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
