PURPOSE: To automatize setting of the disc size easily with a simple constitution, by providing the select cam, which is interlocked with the locating detecting means moved according to the disc size, and the index cam which is linked to this select cam.
CONSTITUTION: Locating detecting means S4 which is moved to the position corresponding to the size of inserted disc 50 and is linked to locating disc 50 to operate and select cam 64 which has step cam parts 64aW64c corresponding to disc sizes and is interlocked with detecting means S4 are provided. Further, index cam 62 which determines the lead-in position of pickup arm 1 is provided and is linked to step cam parts 64aW64c of select cam 64. For example, select cam 64 is provided in one body on switch table 53 where locating detecting switch S4 which moves according to sizes of the record disc of 17cm, 25cm, and 30cm is fitted.
