Abstract:
PURPOSE: To secure a large natural-lighted plane on each story by employing steel in only those beams which constitute the outer peripheral skeleton of a structure which is constructed entirely of RC or SRC.
CONSTITUTION: Poles 1 are constructed of RC or SRC for all the stories and the beams 2 of an inner skeleton are constructed of RC or SRC for all the stories and only those beams which constitute an outer peripheral skeleton are steel beams 2' for all the stories. The use of the steel beams 2' for the outer peripheral skeleton reduces the beam depth and increases the ceiling height of each story to secure a large natural-lighted plane, thus enabling reduction of the maintenance costs.
