Abstract:

To provide a binding for cross-country ski capable of reducing a distance between itself and a user's foot or the bottom of a ski, thereby allowing for accurate operations of the ski.

A boot 20 has a sole 22 with an outer surface 23 adapted to positioning toward a top surface 13 of the ski. The binding has a cleat 30 comprising a flange at a fixed distance from the outer surface 23 of the sole 22, and a base 24 extending from the flange, the base having a smaller base cross-section than the flange cross-section of the flange. The binding further comprises a single frame plate 9 having a flange opening with an opening cross-section larger than the base cross-section and larger than the flange cross-section, and a lever or a slide movable in directions parallel to the top surface 13 of the ski. The lever/slide is between the outer surface 23 and the flange.
