Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a power-supply device by which the completion of a mounting operation can be known easily when the power-supply device is mounted on an apparatus so as to be used and to provide its mounting-completion display method.
CONSTITUTION: A battery pack 20 and an apparatus 21 are provided respectively with a CPU 1 and a CPU 15 so as to communicate with each other. When the battery pack 20 is mounted on the apparatus 21, the CPU 15 reads out a battery voltage V for a battery 4 from a + terminal 8, and, in succession, it compares the read-out battery voltage V with a battery voltage for battery- state information which is sent from the CPU 1 according to the transmission of a READY signal. When both voltages coincide, a LEDON signal corresponding to a residual amount is output. The CPU 1 turns on LEDs 6 whose number corresponds to the LEDON signal, and it informs a user of the residual amount of the battery for three seconds. In this manner, the residual amount of the battery can be informed together with the mounting completion of the battery pack 20.
