Title:
SKI STOCK PROTECTIVE DEVICE FOR PROTECTING SKIER'S HAND FROM COLLISION WITH SLALOM POLE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH01250281
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a protective device for a skier's a hand from a collision with a slalom pole so provided that an external surface flared toward a handle is provided to a body with a taper fixed around the circumference of the end portion of a ski stock shaft. CONSTITUTION: A protective device 1 substantially comprises a corn-shaped taper portion 2. The external surface of the corn-shaped body is rather preferable to be an arch shape facing its concave surface toward outside. A device body has an axial bore 3, and the shaft 4 of a ski stock having a normal grip handle 5 is inserted with a limited clearance into the axial bore 3. The device body has an end surface 6, the size of the end surface 6 is a size such as the external shape of the body goes beyond the bottom portion of the hand-grip, and further goes beyond a skier's hand, and further projects toward a radial direction. The body of the protective device is held at an adjacent position to the grip 5 by using a fixing member 7, e.g. a ring-shaped washer contacted with the top point of a corn-shaped body fixed to the shaft of the ski stock, for example.
