To provide a skid table for a finishing machine, capable of easily replacing a skid plate in a short period of time and reducing waste of materials of the skid plate.
In a skid table 1 for a finishing machine for supporting a lower surface of a workpiece W with a tip of a supporting projected part 21 of an upper end edge of a skid plate 11, the skid plate 11 located in a position supporting the workpiece W is arranged as the skid plate of the uppermost stage, and at its lower side, the skid plate 11 to be used next is overlapped and arranged in a vertically standing posture and in such a state that the upper end edge of a lower skid plate 11 is abutted to the lower end edge of an upper skid plate 11, and a guide member 30 for guiding the skid plate 11 freely slidably in the vertical direction is provided. A hydraulic cylinder 50 is provided to push up skid plates 11 in a stacked state from below so as to push out the skid plate 11 of the uppermost stage which has so far been in the position supporting the workpiece, newly raise the skid plate 11 located at the lower side of the skid plate 11 to the position supporting the workpiece W, and then hold it to the height position.
