Abstract:

To provide a skin barrier function improver which has excellent skin barrier function improving action, and can improve the drying of a skin caused by the deterioration of a skin barrier function.

The skin barrier function improver contains a decorative hyaluronic acid and/or its salt including a glycerine-backbone containing group expressed by the following general formula (1); -O-CH2-CHOH-CH2-OR1 (wherein R1 denotes a straight-chain shaped or branched alkyl group or an alkenyl group.).
