To obtain a skin care preparation which potentiates melanin formation inhibitory effect synergistically, exerts effects on the prophylaxis and amelioration of pigmentation after sunburn, stain, freckle, chloasma, or the like, ameliorates skin bleaching effect and shows high safety.
This skin care preparation is obtained by formulating an extract from plants belonging to the genus Drosera in combination with one or more than two kinds selected from the following each components: L-ascorbic acid and its salt or derivative other than ascorbate glycoside, 2-hydroxycarboxylic acid and its salt or derivative, hydroquinone and its derivative, cysteine and its derivative, glucosamine and its derivative, azelaic acid and its derivative, an extract from placenta and an extract from plants/algae showing melanin production inhibitory effect, to a skin care preparation.
