To provide a skin care preparation having significantly improved bleaching effects and further excellent aspects of safety such as skin irritation and skin sensitization potential.
This skin care preparation is obtained by formulating the following ingredient (A) and an extract of a plant belonging to the genus Sophora with a skin care preparation. The ingredient (A) comprises one or more kinds selected from L-ascorbic acid and its derivatives and its salts with the exception of an ascorbic acid glycoside, hinokitiol and its derivatives, a 2- hydroxycarboxylic acid and its derivatives and its salts, hydroquinone and its derivatives, cysteine and its derivatives, glucosamine and its derivatives, azelaic acid and its derivatives, an extract of the placenta, an extract of a plant having inhibitory actions on melanin formation and an extract of algae having inhibitory actions on melanin formation.
