To provide a skin cleanser composition which has good foam performance (foamability and creaminess), when used, and can impart a highly palatable touch (non-sliminess, and the slippiness and smooth touch of the skin) and can further prevent the deterioration of the quality (hue, smell) for a long period, when rinsed.

This skin cleanser composition is characterized by comprising (a) a fatty acid and/or its salt, (2) a cationized cellulose having a 2 wt. % aqueous solution viscosity of 100 to 1,000 mPas (25°C) and containing alkali metal salts and alkaline earth metal salts in a total amount of ≤5 wt. %, (3) a carboxylic acid type amphoteric surfactant, and (d) a polyoxyethylene-added alkyl ether type nonionic surfactant.
