To provide an abrasive-containing skin cleanser that includes a nonionic surfactant containing a fatty acid alkanol amide surfactant and a carboxyvinyl polymer as a thickener, has high shelf stability, exerts high detergency and offers good impression in use.

The skin cleanser includes the nonionic surfactant, the carboxyvinyl polymer and an abrasive, provided that the nonionic surfactant is composed of the fatty acid alkanol amide surfactant and a polyoxyethylene alkyl ether and accounts for 5-50 mass% of the total mass of the skin cleanser. The fatty acid alkanol amide surfactant accounts for 1-3 mass% of the total mass of the skin cleanser and ≤40 mass% of the total mass of the nonionic surfactant. The polyoxyethylene alkyl ether having 10-11C alkyl chain accounts for ≥50 mass% of the total mass of the polyoxyethylene alkyl ether.
