Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a skin-cleansing composition in the form of an oil-inwater emulsion capable of mildly removing dead cell from the skin and especially suitable for a sensitive skin.
CONSTITUTION: This skin-cleansing composition in the form of an oil-in-water emulsion comprises an emulsifier having ≤12 HLB value, preferably 6-12 HLB value and solid non-hydrophilic lipidic grains having ≤50°C, preferably 30-45°C melting point and containing a cleansing agent (e.g. grain flour, clay or cosmetic removing oil). The lipidic grains comprises at least one kind of substance selected from an 8-18C linear saturated fatty acid triglyceride, butter or solid fraction of a vegetable fatty substance and silicone wax and has preferably 50-2000 μm, especially preferably 630-1200 μm average diameter. The composition contains the lipidic grains in an amount of 0.5-10 wt.%, preferably 0.5-5 wt.% based on total weight of the composition. The composition is especially useful when a heat-sensitive active agent (e.g. vitamin) is formulated therein.
